Tactile design for the next generation
Lessebo Paper offers one of the most climate-friendly papers in the world. The symbiotic relationship with nature is rooted in their culture. They use timber from the same forests and water from the same lakes as they did when the mill was founded in 1693. Respecting our surroundings today is to care about the generations of tomorrow. A 300-year-old philosophy, more relevant than ever.
Lessebo Paper is on a journey to position the mill as a partner to international brands that value design, craftsmanship, and sustainability. Besides a brand strategy and a brand identity refresh, we have helped them introduce a new sub-brand: Lessebo Colours. A series of coloured paper consisting of 48 unique and carefully curated nuances.
To roll it out, we did just that.
Amalfi over the pale brown swamp of Lessebo.
Fuchsia in the dark green troll wood of Lessebo.
Flame in the burgundy heather field of Lessebo.
A way to introduce the new palette and playfully express the sustainable focus. The paper is back to its origin. Maximum expression. Minimal footprint.
A 300-year-old philosophy, more relevant than ever.
Lessebo Paper Player
What does paper sound like? We know how it feels, smells, and looks. But what does it sound like?
To find out, we invited Rördrom, one of Sweden's most interesting sound artists, for an experiment. We wanted to see if the texture of paper could be transformed into sound, much like a record player reads the grooves of an LP.
Together, we built the Lessebo Paper Player. And with that, we can now present the first paper collection you can listen to. The player translates variations in the paper surface into sound waves. The small irregularities come to life, creating a unique sound for each texture. The result resembles 'green noise' – calming and meditative, sometimes energetic, much like the sound of flowing water.
The Lessebo Paper Player is built from production waste.
Maximum expression. Minimal impact.
