From scientific models to easy to assess design-oriented tool

RISE brings together Sweden’s leading research in circular business models and strategies. With the research project Circular Material Palette, the aim is to develop an assessment tool to push the industry and product developers to make more circular material choices.

The visual concept changes depending on the level of circularity. The idea is simple: The rounder the shape, the more circular is the material.

This phase of the project focuses on companies in public transportation, including project partners such as RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, Volvo, Cevt, Zeekr, Stora Enso, and many others. Region Västra Götaland funds the project.
