The new steels is produced using the revolutionary HYBRIT® technology, which replaces coal in the iron ore reduction process with hydrogen. The result is a removal of the fossil carbon emissions. And the only by-product is water.

This potential shift in the steel industry is enormous. With 3,6 billion tonnes, the carbon footprint is three times bigger than the total aviation industry.
